Steamboy is Katsuhiro Otomo (Akira)’s latest anime... and it just opened at the Nova in Melbourne.
There's a review on the Heroic Cinema website, at http://heroic-cinema.com/review.php?ID=steamboy
Next week the Nova starts showing Hero... I forsee some study-breaks coming up soon.

Date: 2004-10-21 05:17 am (UTC)I've only seen it on the tiny VCD/TV setup at the front of a bus, in China. Mind you, I *did* watch the grainy little picture for twelve hours, and saw hero twice in that time. Having a bunch of hyperactive martial arts instructors up the front of the bus helped, too.
It'd be nice to actually see all the picture. And get subtitles that are in English (we had mandarin subtitles for a cantonese version..).
