Maybe it's just the paint fumes talking

morslaI fly up to Sydney at about 6am on Saturday, for the Warmachine/Hordes nationals. I think I've spent about 9 hours at my desk today, frantically painting entries for the painting competion and the Warmachine tournament. I've painted veins, eyes, stripes, and tartan on things smaller than my thumbnail... The next few days will be busy, but things are mostly under control.
Mostly, except that nagging voice in the back of my head saying, "Don't go for the tried and true! What can you possibly learn from taking something to the tournament that you already know how to use! Embrace the challenge!"
This is the voice that's discarding the list I won the Conquest tournament with, goading me into buying something different and painting it up by the weekend. Maybe I've just ingested too much acrylic paint over the last week. Maybe I should sleep more.
...Or maybe, maybe, I should take a walk into the shops tomorrow morning...
