Stay on target... stay on target...
Dec. 12th, 2003 12:54 amIsn't it great how you can make yourself sooo busy that you don't have time to think?
Busy is what Morsla's do best...
Preparation for the weekend is going well - all the scoresheets have been printed up, now. I've just had another team drop out (not even 48 hours notice, now!), which leaves me in rather more trouble than I'd wanted to be in - numbers are now close to what I'd been budgeting for, instead of way above it. Still, I plan with three levels of caution... lower expectations once for practicality, again for paranoia, and a third time for pessimism. The main thing that shits me is that I may have to turn away some players, to keep even numbers of teams - which would suck.
Looks like I'll be running around a lot, tomorrow. O-week stuff for MUTW needs organising (it never ends), other ][con admin needs doing, prizes and tables to sort out - only the most important stuff is left to do. It's just a pity there's so damn much of it.
Arrgh - I didn't check in with the various food vendors about organising the mother-of-all-takeaway orders on Saturday. Oh well - by the time I see them tomorrow, I might have had even more people drop out... and anyway, if they complain about wanting more notice, I can offer to take a very large order elsewhere.
