morsla: (lookin)
[personal profile] morsla
To [livejournal.com profile] aeliel: thankyou, for making a bad day so much better. Despite the best efforts of illness and crappy public transpot, we finally managed to meet up tonight. And Go You! Congratulations on finishing three weeks of hellish work. Maybe next time we celebrate something I won't order quite so much food, though :-)

To the chef who gave me a free (extra) glass of red tonight, for helping dismantle the broken back door of the restaurant: I thank you too. Overtiredness and alcohol have conspired to make me buzz, instead of feeling as sick as I think I am. Avoidance is good, right now. *buzzes*

To the microbes that infest my body: Go away! I have said many times that I'm too busy to get sick, and I will not sit back and watch my immune system collapse right when I need to be working. If you insist on taking root within me, be prepared to suffer the effects of every immune-boosting compound I can ingest over the next week. I fight dirty when cornered, and I feel cornered right now. I am quite prepared to dose myself on anti-sickness substances to the very brink of death, if I know that I can hold on longer than the diseases can.

No Abyss for me this month. I am not fit for human consumption right now, and even if I miraculously recover overnight, I shouldn't be mingling with lots of people at the moment. Time to recover from the single most busy week of the last few years; enter some sort of healing trance, and regrow as much of my soul as possible.

I cheered up a little when I got the mail, though. New commission work for Mark (Nurgle nasties) and Steve (a task: to convert a genestealer model (human-sized alien), large enough to use as a Carnifex (a living seige weapon of sorts). Some more sculpting to do, which I even get paid for... can't argue with that. More geeky again, but vital in the cheering-Morsla-up stakes, was a package containing shiny new purple and blue dice to play with. Colourful, shiny, and relatively simple - this is what I need today.

9am-7pm for today's seminars and exercises, with a 30min lunch break. Too fucking long, even if I wasn't feeling sick. Malfunctioning aircon that keeps the room at about 35 degrees is hardly helping matters - I'm beginning to think that the only way to properly aerate the building involves blowing large holes out the side. Must get more sleep, and devote more effort to maintaining the illusion of being a relatively non-aggressive individual, entirely lacking in the knowledge of how to conduct such drastic actions.

Er, just ignore the eight years of martial arts. And the four years of university chemistry. Yes, that's right, just move along now - nothing to see here...
