Not long, now
Dec. 31st, 2003 12:25 amWell, now we hurtle into the final 24 hours of 2003. It feels like the end of the year has crept up, but looking back I can see a hell of a lot that's happened. I'm glad I did what I did, when I did it... but by the same token, I'm glad that it's over.
I might wander into the city tomorrow night, and find a less-crowded spot along the Yarra somewhere. Part of me wants to celebrate the passing of the year, and welcome the next... part of me wants to watch the present fade, if only to nail the coffin firmly shut.
Planning for the aftermath:
delphaeus mentioned heading out to Abyss this Friday (2nd). I haven't been out for a while, and it'll make up for the quiet New Year's Eve... Anyone else want to come along?
Some resolutions for '04:
* Be healthier, and less prone to breaking. I'm sick of my knees/ankles/feet abandoning me right when I want to be using them. I'd like to properly learn the butterfly kick, without my ankles going a week beforehand - like they've done for a couple of years, now.
* Get to know lots more about a few people, instead of just knowing a little about many people. By "few" I mean fewer than "everyone"... and if you're reading this, you're included (random passers-by as well ;) )
* Find the people I've lost along the way, and see what they're all up to. I'm hopeless at remembering to seek people out, if I don't see them regularly. This will change.
* Surviving my Honours year, and heading off to seek whatever lies at the end of it. Actually, just surviving in general strikes me as a good plan.
