The Rammstein vs. Zanfria remix of Serbia is the funniest, and most deeply wrong, version of a Rammstein song that I have yet encountered. Both at once. Samples from a dozen songs, boppy euro-pop song lyrics, and heavy bass riffs... arrrgh...

I dived into my music as soon as I got home, to seek solace from a work-induced headache. Equal parts fatigue, from doing my first all-daylight-hours day in a couple of weeks (I got to work at 8:30 this morning); desk-damage (eight hours in front of a flickering monitor); and frustration - I now have thirty unpaid days under my belt, as I wait for some kind of back-payment.

On the bright side, if there's no way that I can get paid, I now have enough flex time to last out my current contract... ending on June 30th...

Still, my bills would like to be paid at some stage, so I hope I can get at least a couple of weeks covered. I'll be getting some sort of answer before I leave work tomorrow, and if the answer is not good I may not be going back in again until July *packs hawaian shirt and honours-survival kit* ;-)

Things got much better when I got home to find that my PWEI CD has arrived at last. Together with some Killing Joke, I'm adding new virtual shelves to the music library inside my computer... and this one sure doesn't require whispering. I gathered up my CDs of Loud Shite and burned out my memories of today...

It's still very quiet, out there in the world. I guess most sane people are still on holidays, as the trains still run on Public Holiday time until next Monday. All the same, there's plenty happening back behind the scenes - though few people can hear it. For the people wrestling with their daemons at the moment, my thoughts are with you all. If you ever want to catch up, you know where to find me... at pretty much any time of day or night, lately.

Re-adjusting to daytime hours is painful if you have to do it fast. It's like going cold-turkey from all the sleep-now and wake-now chemicals your body pumps through you each day. I think it might take some practice. Heh... as if in sympathy, my 'puter is playing me My Own Summer (shove it)...

"...The shade is a tool, a device, a saviour
see I try - to look up - to the sky, but my eyes burn..."

*grins* Such appropriate lyrics to land in my lap...

Mental note: Must try to get sleep before 4am, this time. I need to be up before 7 again...
