I'm slowly working out where I'll be, and what I'll be doing, come August and September.
Aug 14: leave Melbourne, flying via LA to Chicago.
Aug 15: Bus to Indianapolis.
Aug 16-19: GenCon.
Aug 20-28: Chicago
Aug 28 - Sep 7: Toronto
Sep 7-14: Northern Ireland (ranging out from Dublin)
Sep 14-21: Scotland (flying in to Edinburgh)
Sep 21-29: England (London, Oxford and Brighton)
Sep 29-Oct 5: France (Perpignon and surrounding regions)
Oct 6: Back in Melbourne around 6am, flying via Singapore
The plan so far is to recover from the big cities by heading for the hills in Ireland and Scotland. It looks like I'll be celebrating my birthday somewhere around Belfast... being the rock nerd that I am, I'd also like to explore the coast around Giant's Causeway. I'll miss a walking festival in Lochaber by a month, but I'd like to head off into the highlands if I can hire some gear and find a place to stash my belongings.
I'm hoping to catch up with friends in Chicago, Toronto, London and Oxford, and I'll meet up with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
aeliel on September 24th. I'll be spending the better part of a month on my own, though, which should be interesting. I haven't done a lot of travelling before, so the trip should take me eight weeks and several thousand kilometres outside my usual comfort zone :-)
