An unusual request...
May. 21st, 2004 09:25 pmCan anyone recommend some introductory books (or textbooks) that cover basic information on databases?
I've worked in a design team before (real-world liaison with the programmers...), and know the theoretical side of database design. I'm not really after how to code them from scratch - just more detail on how to use them, how they are built at the "nuts & bolts" stage, and how to design queries to get useful data from them.
If any of those books are available for borrowing, or being sold second-hand, that would be even better. Can anyone help me out here?
