The timetabling for UniCon is finished, and all laid out for printing.

We have:
* Trivia night (and early registration, for those wanting to sleep in on Saturday morning) Friday 24th of September. (Note that the Infinite Images trivia night will be held before this - aeliel has emailed out the dates already).
* 7 gaming sessions across the weekend
* 7 Freeform games (yes, you can play an all-freeform con if you like...)
* 15 Tabletop RPGs
* A $5 all-you-can-watch Anime weekend
* Baron Munchausen, Crimson Skies, Mechwarrior, Settlers and Warhammer 40K

I've also touched up Fi's illustration for the Unicon website (colourised) and flyers (greyscale). Plus, re-calculated the operating budget based on the new timetable, and checked venue availability for all the games. We can guarantee each game one room for each session timetabled, and will do our best to find rooms for any games that run multiple teams in a session.

I'll have copies in stores (and at DWARFCon) by the weekend, and then I'm finished :-)

The con, for those interested, will be held at the Melbourne Uni Arts Centre (corner of Grattan and Swanston streets). It's nice and close to all the food outlets around the university, and (unlike the Old Arts building) is very easy for everyone to find...

Oh - and if anyone else is interested in dark ambient electronica, [livejournal.com profile] mousebane's RPG-soundtrack post inspired me to look for some free tracks on the internet... I've downloaded quite a few, many of which are very good (like the one I'm listening to now). I'll be making a couple of audio CDs once I have enough of it - let me know if you want a copy.

I'm definitely interested in new music. I'm currently actually purchasing tracks off the net. Where are the free ones?

the music I've been looking at lately comes from

www.mperia.com

and you need a bitpass account to actually buy the music, but you can preview them all for free. they come in costs of 0.25c to $1.00 (US though).

I buy a lot (a hell of a lot, actually) of my music from http://club.mp3search.ru - they have a good range of albums that I like. $0.01USD per megabyte, so song costs vary on bitrate. Most of the songs are 128-256, so albums cost up to about $1.50.

I think I've just bought my fiftieth album from them :)

Search for your music genre in google, and wade through the endless C@@L MP3 NOW! links... there are plenty of free sites still out there. Try http://www.ampcast.com/music/random.php?id=324 as a starter.

Actually, now I've had a better look at it, definitely look on Ampcast. They sell albums, but also have audio streaming to try everything, plus downloadable versions of most songs. The site is aimed at marketing hard-to-market music from around the world, and has a huge amount of stuff :)

I'm about finished with the Dark Ambient section, and have just downloaded some of Toby Emerson's electronica for something a bit more upbeat. It's good stuff...

Of September :) It's on the flyer, but I was too frazzled to type it into the post...

Cool - I'll make copies once I fill the CDs. Shinjuku Thief sounds good - I keep seeing the name mentioned.

How's the gamelist? Do you need more? I could run an idea I have for Arc if you need them..

Game list is as tight as it'll go :) I've spent the last few weeks squeezing in as many sessions as the building will allow us to. Probably best to run the game at Arc.

Is this the Riddle of Steel game?

That is the one I am thinking of. Would need to go into frantic development. But I could probably get it done.

I shall appear at Unicon. Just you watch.

And I'd be interested in some new music. Always interested in music.
