Note to self: only ever apply for jobs that I am ridiculously underqualified for. If I applied to become CEO of General Motors, there's no way I'd actualyl expect to be in with a chance.

Application and CV: reviewed by contacts in the new job. Great feedback.
Interview: panel of five interviewees. Seemed to go swimmingly.
Phonecall: Not selected, due to lack of telephone call-centre experience - despite knowing about all the scientific enquiries that I'd be fielding. I'm fairly sure I can learn how to use a phone...

Enough typing for now. I tore open the palm of my right hand on a piece of metal - I've been demolishing a shed at work. Bleeding on the keyboard wouldn't be a good look.

Hmm, that certainly is a load of bull. As if someone with lots of call centre experience may necessarily be able to field all the scientific questions:S
