I'm bone weary today. I finished "regular" work on Wednesday, and I decided to push myself to find those old reserves of energy. I spent a couple of days out riding (rediscovering "Day 2: PAIN" as I sat down on fresh bruises...), running errands, and cleaning parts of the house. Today I went to the park to stretch, climb around, and generally misuse the playground equipment in ways the architect could never have imagined :) I guess I probably shouldn't be surprised at being tired.
I'm still adjusting to the change in working hours. I'm so much more productive when I'm not doing a paid job... on Thursday I checked the time after finishing the first few things on my list, and discovered that it was 9:05am. Apparently, those two hours and $10 spent on public transport can go a long way.
I found myself really missing going out. Lots of things contributed to the decline over the past year - Psychonaut, Abyss and Lychnobyte all vanished from the scene. Sickness and injuries kept me at home during a few of the bigger nights out. Many of the people I'd see out have moved away, and I'm left feeling like a big chunk of my life has been ripped away. High time for a bloody night out... I'll be going to Golgotha on the 31st come hell or high water. Come along if you miss it as much as I do.
On our last shopping trip,
aeliel found some mushrooms that almost violated the "don't eat food bigger than your head" rule. I went for a trip to the market to buy goat's cheese & fresh herbs, and invented a stuffing for them - I've put my recipie for stuffed mushrooms & warm couscous salad in
santushtah. If you like your vegetarian fare extremely rich, with extra butter and garlic, give it a try :)
I'm chock-full of randomness, today - it's like flicking past a half-dozen stations on TV. If we haven't caught up in aaaages, drop me a comment. It's too damned quiet around here when I'm home on my own...

Under a dead ohio sky,
Eleven has been and will be waiting,
Defending his light and wondering...
Where the hell have I been?
Sleeping, lost, and numb.
So glad that I have found you.
I am wide awake and heading home.

Date: 2005-10-17 01:24 am (UTC)I should be around on the 5th and 6th, if you're free. I think Scott's having a birthday BBQ thingy on the 12th... if your hazy plans are flexible enough to jump a week, you could probably catch all sorts of people there.
