Left to my own devices...
Mar. 13th, 2007 08:23 pmI've been slowly readjusting after what seems like a very long weekend... most of which seems to have been spent eating dumplings or yum cha, playing some games, and planning others. Nemesis went well on Friday - surprisingly well, after how quiet it was last time. I never made it out to Golgotha, as everyone else had succumbed to weekend-apathy or fled town to make the most of the holiday.
Hopefully I'll manage to get through a decent amount of work this week. I have a lot of painting to get stuck into, after losing a few days while my fingertip healed up. I'm still amazed at just how clumsy I become when I have to avoid using a finger - I must be using all my fingers to a greater degree than I thought. No yakuza membership (or at least no failures...) for me, I guess.
It's also time to start on the next phase of Ian's commision work, for Liber Animus. While searching for enough daemon models to fill his list, I bought all the Flamers in four stores, and had to wait a fortnight for a distributor to get enough stock to finish the order. I'll probably spend most of tomorrow drilling and pinning them together. Then I just have to paint the bastards :)
In other news, I'm enjoying the return to Tai Chi. My sword form is rusty. Hell, my sword is rusty... there's a patch of rust on the blade from last time I trained with it. Spending most of the last few months at a computer or painting desk has played merry hell with my stance, but I'm slowly getting back into it again.
