I've never been very good at keeping track of time. I think that when I start concentrating on something, the part of my brain that ought to notice things like "it's getting pretty late" gets drafted into thinking about the current project, and so I'm always surprised to discover how long I've been working for...

I sat down to do some painting last night. There's a job due tomorrow (finish today, post tomorrow morning) and I've missed a few days of work lately - so I put my head down and started work. Then, suddenly it was the wee small hours of Monday and I remembered that I was planning to get an early start today. Does it count as a start if you never actually stopped?

Once upon a time, Ulthwe Eldar had a bland-and-boring mostly black colour scheme, with no real interesting bits to paint. Now, artists like George Dellapina have made them much more interesting to work with... I'm finishing up a Falcon in the new colours, and quite enjoying it.

Apart from painting, I had a good weekend - games on Friday night, lunch and wandering in the Botannic Gardens on Saturday, and a random phonecall from [livejournal.com profile] fetnas yesterday. How was your weekend?
