morsla: (lookin)
Every year I plan this. One day, I'll actually be able to do it.

I'd love to sacrifice a few hours' sleep in small portions, scattered through out the year - like an extended version of the beginning to daylight savings. Slowly build up a surplus of time, to be spent when required. I love the extra hour of sleep that comes at the end of daylight savings - and I'd love to be able to shift the clock around whenever I needed it...

The weekend hasn't been a great one for sleep, but I made the most of my extra hour last night. Headed out to Psychonaught with [livejournal.com profile] aeliel and [livejournal.com profile] mousebane
on Friday night, and bumped into [livejournal.com profile] mistresscarlett and [livejournal.com profile] steam_punk. Stayed until about 4-ish, which makes it a comparatively early night - but a good one nonetheless. Psychonaught has hit on something that not enough clubs do, these days - make it cheaper to get in, so people have money to buy drinks :-) To balance the $5 cover charge, I decided against the traditional 7-11 supplies run, and re-fuelled on sugar and caffeine in the club - gulped down in the rare few seconds I could prise myself off the dancefloor...

Went to a "late breakfast" at the Prahran market on Saturday afternoon, where I may have discovered the best bakery in Melbourne. I guess I'll be doing some of my shopping on the other side of the city, from now on.

By about 9pm I was finally beginning to wake up, so I rode over to [livejournal.com profile] mistresscarlett's, and contributed to the warming of her house. Also promptly got recognised by one of her housemates - a FAS2 person from many years back. I almost left at 1am, but was distracted by Cedric the carpet-coloured-cat, and didn't end up leaving until somewhere on the other side of 2:00.

Only a few more hours until we go to see the Shaolin Monks performance @ Her Majesty's Theatre. I need to write more of my Lit review today, but I feel a need to leap around practicing cresent and butterfly kicks...
