Prior warning
Jul. 3rd, 2004 11:05 pmSome of you have seen my unending games of find-the-supervisor over the last few months... typically, I track him down for about ten seconds before he runs off somewhere. When I saw him on Friday and he wanted a chat, I knew something was up.
Turns out that the department has the same opinion of me, that I have of myself: I am not doing enough work, and have not done enough so far. Sure, I've been busy - I just never manage to do anything that's really important about this project. It's something I'm not happy with, and now it's attracting the attention of other people - and directly impacting my marks, as Friday's chat revealed.
So, this is me giving my notice... I have to draw a line in the sand, starting tomorrow. After seven years of cutting slack for other people in their final year of study, this one is mine - and I think I have the right to put what time I have into managing my own life for a change. If you don't have much to do with me anyway, this won't affect you at all - but for those involved in things that I'm doing, you might want to read behind ( this cut )
