Well, the "imaginary" computer problems have resurfaced, and I can't use my computer at home at the moment. So, LJ/email/other net stuff will be a bit more sparse from me until I get it fixed.
The PC shuts itself off after a minute or two, and can't be turned back on again for the next half hour or so. The other time this happened, I took it back to the store in Box Hill, only to have them run test software overnight with no trouble at all...
The fact that it's now happening again (a few months later) makes me think that it's not as imaginary a problem as they believed. grumblemuttergrumble... after so many years of not owning a computer, I was getting quite attached to having one in my room.
In other news:
The economic geology course is over, so I reclaim another 15+ hours this week. No more public transport for me :) For any monash people out there, yep, that's why I seemed to be in the wrong uni all last week...
Also, without coursework this week, I've been jumped by people waving games ;)
tarleon's Exalted campaing continues, although we'll have to adapt to life without
bog_mod's mad sorceror. Jye's Sidereal game is getting underway, my Neverwhere-ish game will start soon (
futurelegend - let me know when you can play), and apparently I'm expected to keep people alive in
miss_rynn's Planescape game. I say "apparently," as the other players have decided that "something extremely unwise" is their goal for the next session...

Date: 2004-05-12 01:02 am (UTC)Narcolepsy. Hmmmm... that would explain a lot, actually. Maybe loud noises and bright lights will keep it awake?

Date: 2004-05-12 04:05 am (UTC)Should be fun. I ran a similar game, laced with a lot more Books of Magic (and Books of Faerie) a few years ago. This time I'll stir in a bit more horror. The first part of the game will flesh out the setting, and then I'll move to short-story mode, writing individual afternoon-length games whenever I have more ideas.

Date: 2004-05-10 09:50 am (UTC)hmm, as for playing (yay!) that would preferably be after the big sticky essay is handed in (week 12 I suspect). Is that ok? (Hmm, maybe I should make a start on those 4000 words, huh?)

Date: 2004-05-12 01:07 am (UTC)There's a player-only post a while back, where I asked when you guys were free - Tuesday is the best night, at the moment. There are other timetabling musings in the post - read it, if you have the time.
If week 12 is soon, we can start things up after that. Any time in the next month would be nice...
