Wandering... wondering...

aeliel's place this morning, I decided to walk home - a slow, meandering, three-hour walk that took me through a dozen parks and laneways that I'd never seen before. After about an hour, I realised that I hadn't eaten anything before leaving the house - but I managed to scrounge up enough dried fruit and chocolate from my backpack to make a decent breakfast. I think fieldwork has taught me some good habits...
I went for a wander through the Botannical Gardens, too - I guess it must be Autumn...

I decided to play with my new camera - haven't tried many of the manual settings yet, but I took a few photos as I walked along. As always, when the weather turns, the place suddenly looks quite different...

Some more photos are at http://www.pbase.com/morsla/autumn2004 if anyone's interested :-)

Date: 2004-05-16 04:10 am (UTC)Might go wandering again later tonight, and try some long exposure shots out in the dark. Dusk would be a good time for it - I like things silhouetted against the horizon. We just don't seem to have enough deciduous trees around for that skeletal look ;)
