morslaTechnical question for you...
- The problem I've had accessing the any page on livejournal.com got worse, as now I can't load a single page. It's not a browser problem (same story with IE, Firefox, etc). It's to do with a snarky firewall (I have the Norton Internet Security stuff running at the moment).
- Short of disabling the security stuff all together, I haven't been able to alter any settings that allow me to see LJ pages.
If anyone has any suggestions for fixing a recalcitrant Norton suite, please speak up.
Failing that, if anyone can talk me into uninstalling the b@stard, and picking up Zone Alarm or something similar, please speak up too...

Date: 2004-06-10 10:23 pm (UTC)Personally I'd recommend Zone Alarm (have never used the Norton one myself though). (The Windows XP firewall is only half a wall - fine to stop incoming stuff, does nothing to stop outgoing. That said, it's apparently getting an overhall in SP2 which is coming "soon".)
