Apr. 18th, 2005 05:28 pmThis amuses me far too much, for my name is apparently an anagram of Noble Gem Ninja.
One day, I'll learn how to stop my brain from rotting. Unfortunately, most of the things that might get me somewhere (writing and layout) need to be done on the home computer, and I only remember them when a day on the work PC leaves me staring slack-jawed into oblivion. By the time I get home, I'm too badly monitor-addled to face any more time before the screen...
I'm considering volunteering to be the OH&S supervisor for any TAFE students who come here on work placement, just to give me something useful to do. Everyone's happy to give me work, but it's such mindless tedium that I can't exactly get enthusiastic about any of it.
"We've got a TAFE student in tomorrow, so we found this soul-destroying task to give him. You can show him how to wash glassware for the next three days."
AAAARRRGGHH!
All my spare 'net time shall now be spent on employment websites, I think. I didn't spend the last seven years (four and a half of them working here!) learning how to watch someone else wash a beaker.

Date: 2005-04-18 11:54 pm (UTC)Power of meaningless supervision and infinite boredom = me climbing the walls.
Not literally, although I have been known to do it from time to time. At least one Uni building still has my footprints on the outside wall...
