morslaI'm sure everyone reading LJ has already been barraged with news about the bomb blasts this morning. My sister bought a mobile a few days ago, when she reached London - unfortunately, it's proved impossible to get a connection with the thousands of other people trying to call for news.
Fortunately a few SMS' have come through. She's fine, although the person she's staying with took quite a while to get home from the station. I think he left for work a bit later than normal and so missed the explosions (lucky timing). Instead, he got caught up in the locked-down public transport just after he went underground. Still no contact from other travelling companions who had split up to see friends and relatives, but the others shouldn't have been using the tube that day.
