Holiday happenings

Days I've woken up before 0530 since leaving work: 4

I don't like the pattern I'm seeing here... Although, I am tempted to sneak out of the house and practice my tai chi in the park, hours before normalsane people are stirring. I'm really enjoying the Wudan form at the moment - it's complex enough to be challenging for my mind as well as my body, and it gets more intricate as it goes.

Went to Blackwood to see aeliel's family on Friday and Saturday, and saw my own parentals on Sunday. I think the whole weekend was one long meal, eaten in several different places... we certainly didn't have any chance of not eating well. I had a good chat to Mum & Dad, and told them what's happening with work at the moment. I have no idea what I'll be doing next year, or where I'll be - I think that I can plan for that, though.

I've been painting a lot in the last couple of days. Sacred Blade is a new sculpting house over in England, producing some nice cyberpunk figures. I'm almost finished the first piece - a gigeresque girl crouched on a broken concrete wall. She's a sweet little thing, with an unfortunate addiction to augmentative surgery... now she's doing wetwork for the megacorps to pay off those four razorblade scythes she had installed. I'll post a picture tomorrow, after the varnish dries...

Time I stopped sitting here watching the rain outside - it's easing up a little, and I need to get some fresh air. I'm off to the chinese grocers in search of dim sum :)

Lookin forward to seein painting pictures!

Relearning el basicolo Tai chi makes me think of your strong tai chi fu (hmm, eloquence failure there) which then makes me determin-ed to keep going :)

btw, do you guys have vnv nation tix yet? am i in the loop? :) (checkin while i think of it - work/life has been nuts lately)
