Curse of the Golden Flower

Curse of the Golden Flower is Zhang Yimou's latest film to reach Australian cinemas. It's more of a drama than a martial arts film, although there are a few amazing set-piece battles (including at least one in the Imperial city). Like most of Zhang's recent films it should be epic, beautifully costumed, elaborately choreographed, and full of historical innacuracies that the audience will happily overlook. Also, ninjas.
It's showing at the Nova, and
aeliel and I are planning to see it next Monday evening (6:55pm). Tickets are $7.50, but Monday will probably be pretty busy as it's the discount night - I'm planning to ride across earlier in the day to buy some tickets. Let me know if you want to come along, and I'll grab a ticket for you.

Never let the truth get in the way of a good visual theme ;)
