One for the science geeks out there...
Nov. 3rd, 2006 12:42 pmThe ScienceAlert website has had a revamp, and now has a bunch of RSS feeds for science news. It can be split into subcategories (Applied, Environmental, Life Science, Medical, Physical, Policy, Opinions) sections, or you can read it all in one go. You can also christen your shiny new version of Firefox2.0 by adding a live bookmark to it... no excuse for missing the news, now :)

Like the fact that chemical exposures can be written into your hair as it grows, so researchers can argue over whether arsenic traces prove that Phar Lap was poisoned back in 1932. People have also done things like measuring how fast hair grows, and trying to figure out how age and stress affect melanin production.
I have a few silver-grey hairs on my temples, that are about 8cm long. Last I checked, I'm still aging at the nice steady rate of 24 hours per day. About eight months ago, however, I started doing a postgrad course...
