Long live the Queen!

I may not be particularly concerned about a monarchy, but I'm quite prepared to celebrate the Queen's Birthday if it affords me more long weekends like the last one...
After a false start on Friday night (I got home and crashed), the weekend started properly on Saturday. Lazing about was done,
aeliel took me out for dinner, and I countered by taking her out for hot chocolate and cake. We adjusted to weekend time, slept in 'til midday, and stayed up 'til early morning...
Dan and Yas dropped in on Sunday, and I fed their iPod with enough supplies to last it the long journey to Oxford.
fetnas and Brad turned up, and I then turned my attention to feeding the people in the house... We headed out for Golgotha, arriving *gasp* just after 11pm. I don't think I've been out that early in years. I had a great night, up until I got cramps from my toes to my knees in both feet - apparently my body has decided that I'm not quite as fit as I ought to be. I made it down the stairs without falling over, and headed home to eat a mountain of salt.
Most of Monday was spent eating, lounging on the couch, and watching DVDs. Somewhere amongst all-the-laziness-you-can-eat, I managed to lay out and typeset another four pages of Insurgent, so I don't feel too bad :-) I'll put a lazy-day recipie up in
santushtah later on today, too.
Thankyou to all the people who made the weekend great :-)

Date: 2005-06-14 02:18 am (UTC)I haven't worked out how to paint on a train, or at work, so sleep had to take a step back. Only a little bit, honest ;)
