It lives!

Insurgent Issue #3 is now available for download. You can find a copy here.

It has become a painting/modelling/sculpting/terrain 'zine, although this issue has a couple of pages on small games of 40k. You don't need to be registered on the WargamerAU site to download this issue - if you're interested in this subsection of geek, download a copy and let me know what you think :-)

I've temporarily given up on placing hyperlinks in InDesign, as it's sooo much easier to use the Chain Link tool in Acrobat. After a bit of swearing at the computer, the menu is now linked to each of the articles. The Back button on your browser won't navigate within a PDF, though... I'm looking at ways to make this work a bit better.

Now, off to practice my Wudan forms, and then get back to painting...

I'm failing to be able to download anything - it all just takes me to that page...

Hmmm - there should be a Download button on the left, underneath the file info - if it's not there, the settings have changed back to registered users only. I'll log in to the admin panel and take a look...

I'm sure that button wasn't there last time I looked... or it could have been temporary blindness

Feedback - doesn't look so good printed greyscale - but nice when colour printed :)

Articles - I'll get back to you

It might not have been - there are two different ways of getting to the download permissions, and one of them wasn't available when I put the file on there yesterday. Both of them are switched over to "all users" at the moment, so extra buttons might have suddenly appeared :)

I'm sure there are typos in there somewhere. I always find at least one a couple of days after I finish... hopefully the articles will be helpful, though.

Yeah - that was me before :)

I like it - useful info. I use cd's as base plates for terrain as well

downloaded the earlier issues as well now :)

Oh hey, now it works.

I couldn't comment on the articles, but the layout is cool - visually interesting but clear.

Thanks :) Next time, I'll wait until I can log in to the admin panel before I go telling people that they can download it... the site kept crashing last week, so I posted it as soon as I got a chance.

I'm slowly starting to experiment with more photoshop textures - I wanted it to look pretty clean, but it's getting to the point where I need to learn how to add a few details to some of the articles. More excuses to fumble my way through tutorials, I guess...
